Formula:

Subject + should + base verb

Example:You should study for the test.

Shouldn’t = We use shouldn’t to give negative advice or say what is not a good idea.

Formula:Subject + shouldn’t + base verb

Example:You shouldn’t stay up late.

Examples

Shouldn’t

You shouldn’t eat too much candy.

We shouldn’t be late for school.

He shouldn’t shout in class.

They shouldn’t waste water.
