The indirect object tells for whom or to whom something is done.

EXAMPLES

Kim is making a cake for Max.→ direct object / indirect object

Kim is making Max a cake.→ indirect object / direct object

BASIC IDEA

A simple sentence in English has:

Subject + Verb + Object

The subject does the action (verb).

The object receives the action.

Example

She kicks the ball.

Dibujar una niña pateando una pelota.
