I\u2019m starving, but I only have the basics in the fridge. So we are going to make a proper hot dog?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, let\u2019s check the ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u2705 Hot dog buns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u2705 Beef franks (the sausages).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u2705 Condiments: Yellow mustard, ketchup, cheese and potato sticks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u2705 Optional: A little bit of diced onion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s the \u00abAll-American\u00bb kit. Let\u2019s get started with the process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boil or Grill: Since we&#8217;re in a hurry, let&#8217;s boil them. Fill a small pot with water and bring it to a boil. Drop the franks in for about 5 minutes until they are plump and hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toast the Bun: While those cook, split your buns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take the frank out with tongs and tuck it into the warm bun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Usually, you go with mustard first, then ketchup, and finish with the onions, cheese, and potato sticks on top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Generally, you put the \u00abwet\u00bb condiments like mustard on the sausage first so they don&#8217;t slide off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s ok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It looks delicious! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Time to eat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;Making a Classic Hot Dog Hey everybody!
